The class yesterday went great. I had about 30 students. I was expecting half that. It was a good group of brewers. There were lots of questions,  which made the class go by quickly. The beer turned out okay too.  The only issues I had is that I missed my gravity by 9 points. The beer is fermenting at Steinfillers.

I also spent the weekend removing labels and cleaning bottles.  Competition season is approaching and I need to have some bottle ready to fill. Here is my process on removing the labels and by default cleaning them. All that is left is to sanitize them.

 1. The dirty bottles. I tend to like the Sierra Nevada bottles, the labels come off very easily.

2. Get some Oxyxclean and use about the amount in the picture. Fill a bucket of hot water and dissolve the oxyclean.

3. Put the bottles in the bucket and let sit for about 15-20 minutes.

4.  Remove the labels, they should just peel off. Use a sponge and remove the rest of the glue. Give the bottles a good rinsing and let dry.

5. Let dry and that is it.
